What a game! It was a true battle on the pitch today as the girls faced off against a Pennington side just as hungry for the win as we were. The first half was an incredibly tight affair, with both teams cancelling each other out and leading to a 0-0 deadlock at the interval. However, Radcliffe’s persistence paid off in the second half, securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory.

The match was defined by grit and defensive discipline. After a stalemate in the first period, the team showed great patience to wait for their opening. The breakthrough finally came from a moment of magic: Tanushri showcased incredible pace and control to drive the ball down the wing, delivering a pinpoint cross to the back post for Olivia to calmly slot home. The team then displayed excellent game management to see out the result against a tough opponent.
